Jim Havens

Havens is the president and founder (1983) of Cardinal Title Insurance Agency, which facilitates significant commercial real estate transactions. Cardinal has closed over one billion dollars of transactions in the last five years. It includes the single largest transaction insured in the year 2007 and 2011 respectively in Central Ohio. Havens is a partner in a variety of real estate ventures which construct, syndicate, finance, manage, own and/or develop significant commercial properties. As a partner in Scout Healthcare, he performed land planning, design, construction, syndication, and financing of the Medical Center of Newark, a $20 million physician-owned hospital that was completed and licensed in December 2007.

Havens served as an elected official for three terms (1996-2008) and chaired the Granville Township Board of Trustees. He formed and implemented Ohio’s first open space acquisition program under the then newly-enacted ORC 5705.19(HH). This program collected approximately $5 million in tax and unrestricted proceeds and was used to acquire eighteen properties in Granville Township, Licking County, Ohio. Steve Layman

Owner and President, Anderson Layman Company

David C. Anderson and Stephen T. Layman partnered to form the Anderson Layman Company in 1982. While the original intention was to focus on investment real estate, the company quickly expanded into all aspects of commercial brokerage.

In 1986, Anderson Layman Company began its first renovation of a historic building on Newark’s downtown square. In 1988, the company began to build its first subdivision.

Today, Anderson Layman Company continues to offer commercial real estate brokerage services. The company’s expertise also includes development, redevelopment, investment analysis, site acquisition and consulting.

Gary Sitler

Owner and President, 11 Eagles Energy Exploration Ltd.

Gary Sitler is a petroleum geologist with over 30 years of an extensive background in the science behind the location of drillsites, and the business/engineering involved in the drilling/completion/operation of wells. As the current owner and president of 11 Eagles Energy Exploration, he is a prospect generator, investor and consultant with landowners and others regarding Ohio's natural energy resources.

A graduate of Wittenberg University in 1978, he received a master of science degree in geology from the University of Idaho in 1982, where a grant from the Marathon Oil Company funded his master's thesis.

From 1982-1997 Sitler was a principal, and later president, of the Stocker and Sitler Oil Co. in Newark, Ohio, which drilled and operated more than 1,000 wells. From 1997-1998 he was the Ohio vice president for exploration with CGAS Exploration, Inc., until he founded PAR Energy, Ltd. in Granville, Ohio, in 1998. PAR focused on prospect development and through that company Sitler has a working interest in over 70 wells in Ohio, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

In 2006, he was the co-founder and president of Flint Ridge Energy, Ltd., before founding 11 Eagles Energy Exploration, Ltd. in 2010.
